FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING TO SESSIONS?

You need to bring a mat, towel, and drink bottle to all sessions. For our boxing sessions, you will need to bring cotton inners or wraps. For our stretch & release session, it is helpful if you can bring your own foam roller.

HOW MANY PEOPLE ON AVERAGE DO YOU HAVE IN A SESSION?

Our attendance generally ranges from 8 to 18 people in a session, and the maximum we allow is 25.

WHAT IS THE BEST SESSION TO START WITH?

If you are inexperienced with boxing it does take a little time to develop the skills and adapt to the intensity, so if you are a person who prefers to start off easy, I'd recommend our strength or HIIT session for your first time.

WHAT HAPPENS TO SESSIONS THAT FALL ON A PUBLIC HOLIDAY?

Any sessions that fall on a public holiday may be changed to a different time or rescheduled to another day that week. We also on occasion have a short training break (i.e. over Christmas and New Year’s) in which members are informed with ample notice if this is to occur.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT'S RAINING OR REALLY HOT?

We are fortunate to have access to lots of areas within Forbes Primary School, so we have the option to train undercover outdoors, shaded areas in hot weather or in the gym which also has air-conditioning.

WHAT ARE YOUR CURRENT COVID PRACTICES?

Our group training sessions are structured around the current COVID-19 restrictions, and hygiene practice and social distancing is adhered to. We limit sharing of equipment where possible and wipe down/disinfect when it is not. During our boxing sessions, there is the option to do partner boxing, or shadow box on your own.

We ask members if they have tested positive to COVID, are not feeling well and/or experiencing COVID symptoms to not attend their upcoming session.
