AS A TEENAGER, I WAS OVERWEIGHT AND FOR A LONG TIME BELIEVED IF I COULD BE SKINNY, I WOULD BE HAPPY...HOW WRONG I WAS!
I tried lots of gyms, but nothing was enjoyable or encouraging for me and started to think, it wasn't meant to be.
EXERCISE BECAUSE YOU LOVE YOUR BODY, NOT BECAUSE YOU HATE IT.
Being overweight and self-conscious lead me to fad diets and exercising to punish myself. I sought help and surrounded myself with people who helped me see fitness and health in a positive way.
I THOUGHT RUNNING IS JUST SOMETHING I'LL NEVER BE ABLE TO DO.
In my early twenties I struggled in a different way, I was so envious of people who could run as I would lose my breath just attempting a few hundred meters - I didn't believe in myself, convinced I just can't run.
IT'S SO EASY TO GIVE UP AND NEVER SEE WHAT WE ARE REALLY CAPABLE OF, BUT I DIDN'T WANT THAT FOR ME.
Between 2018 to 2022, I attempted four half marathons and a full marathon. The first attempt I injured my knee and it really got me down, I felt like a failure, but I needed to make a comeback.
THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN CALL IT A FAILURE IS IF YOU QUIT. IF YOU KEEP GOING IT'S ONLY A HURDLE, ONE YOU WILL OVERCOME.
Once I completed my first half marathon, I had another setback but then trained for the next one and did it 22 minutes faster! Never let fear get the best of you.
NOW I FEEL LIKE ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE, YOU JUST NEED TO BELIEVE IN YOURSELF AND PUT IN THE HARD WORK.
I am now training to complete my first full marathon and I hope it empowers others, because I know everyone has it in them to be the best they can be!
I BECAME A PERSONAL TRAINER TO HELP PEOPLE AND SHARE WHAT I HAVE LEARNT.
Happiness is achieved from within, have a balanced approach to life, exercise, and nutrition - it is a journey. I graduated as a Master Trainer and launched the business in 2016 and I have never looked back.
I AM ALSO A CERTIFIED PUNCH FIT AND PRE & POST NATAL TRAINER.
Boxing is one of the first things that made me enjoy fitness, so it is something I love to teach others, along with guiding women through safe exercise at any stage of their life.

I have watched more Gilmore Girls marathons than I have run them.
